UDST Secures Climate Change and Environment Call for Groundbreaking AI Project

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has achieved a significant milestone by securing its first Climate Change and Environment research grant under Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council (QRDIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC). The project, “Real-time AI-driven Groundwater Resilience Dashboard: A Tailored Climate Change Adaptive Solution for Qatar and Beyond,” addresses critical climate challenges. Collaborating with global and national partners, including the National Institute of Scientific Research (INRS), University of British Columbia, IIASA, Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Hydraulique, and key Qatar entities like Ashghal, Kahramaa, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, this initiative fosters sustainable water management, advancing SDGs 6. UDST Researchers Present at Tarsheed Energy and Water Efficiency Forum 2024

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) researchers proudly participated in the 2024 Tarsheed Energy and Water Efficiency Forum, hosted by Kahramaa. The Tarsheed Forum for Energy and Water Efficiency 2024 provide a vital platform for decision-makers and experts to share insights on energy conservation. The forum's agenda includes five discussion sessions focused on current trends in energy efficiency, the role of smart systems and solutions, the circular economy, sustainability, and the legislative framework supporting energy efficiency in Qatar. The event aimed to inspire innovation in energy and water conservation across Qatar’s government and private sectors.
UDST researchers presented impactful ideas and solutions aligned with Tarsheed’s goals of promoting sustainability and reducing harmful carbon emissions. Engaging with initiatives like the Best Smart Solution in Sustainability and the Best Water Recycling Initiative, UDST showcased its commitment to Qatar’s environmental vision. Their participation highlights the university’s role in advancing energy-efficient technologies and sustainable practices for a greener future.
