Registration FAQ's

Self-Service Registration is UDST's method of registration implemented in Spring 2022 whereby students can enroll in and manage their classes through their Student Self-Service portal. It allows students to do the following during the Registration Period for each semester:

  • Plan their courses for the current and future semesters
  • Enroll in courses
  • Select which section of a course in which to enroll (if multiple sections are available)
  • Waitlist for a class section that has reached its enrollment capacity
  • Drop courses
  • Swap sections of a course
  • View their schedule
  • Pay tuition and fees

Self-Service Registration is available to eligible students through their Student Self-Service portal during the Registration Period for each semester. For instructions on how to use Self-Service Registration, please go to the Registration page of the UDST website. Please refer to the Registration User Manual, Registration Video and/or Course Waitlist User Manual for detailed instructions to assist you.

Registration is only available through the Student Self-Service portal. However, if you have questions related to your program and/or course selection, you may book an appointment with your Academic Advisor or the Advising team through Navigate 360, visit Student Central Services Academic Advising office in Building 6-Upper Level, or email advising@udst.edu.qa

Students will need access to their Student Self-Service portal, as well as their login information (Student ID and password).

Your User ID is the Student ID number that was assigned to you when you applied to UDST. It is printed on your Student ID card. If you are a new student, you will find your Student ID number in the email you received after you submitted your application.

If you have forgotten your password, go to the Student Self-Service portal and click Reset Password to send an SMS to your mobile number on your student record.

Registration begins prior to each semester and is open until the last day to register published on the Registration page. The Registration Schedule will be published on the Registration page of the UDST website, and notification of registration opening will be sent to students via SMS.

There can be a number of reasons that Self-Service Registration is not available for you:

Non-sponsored Students will have time until the end of the current semester to settle their accounts. Unfortunately, students who do not complete full payment will not be able to register for the following semester or attend classes.

Sponsored students do not need to pay as long as their sponsoring company has sent the details of their sponsorship to the Sponsorship Specialist at the Admissions and Registration Directorate before the start of registration.

To ensure online payment is easier for student, you may pay with your credit card or debit card. We also offer students the opportunity to enroll now and pay later. At the time of Self-Service Registration, you may pay in part or in full, or you may defer your payment to a later date. You can also come in to the Finance Office to pay in person. Cash, however, is not accepted.

Non-sponsored students may choose to pay their fees for the current semester at a later date, provided it is before the end of the term.

Post-dated cheques will be accepted for students who have requested and received prior approval from management to defer payment.

The full semester schedule and deadline dates can be found in the Academic Calendar which is published on our website and on your MyUDST page. Important dates are also posted on the Important Information tile in the Student Self-Service portal.
