My journey with the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) began with a Diploma in Office Administration—a humble start that laid the foundation for a life-changing path. I found more than an education; I found a community that believed in me before I believed in myself.

The support and dedication from instructors created a nurturing environment where I grew both personally and professionally. Hands-on experience, real-world knowledge, and constant encouragement fueled my ambition to dream bigger.

After completing my diploma, I returned to UDST to pursue my Master of Science in Human Resources Management. The same support and mentorship deepened my connection to the university, and the knowledge I gained proved transformative.

Because of what I learned at UDST, my career advanced rapidly—from Procurement Officer to Head of HR within a single year. UDST didn’t just prepare me for a job; it empowered me to find my voice, confidence, and purpose.

At UDST, I had the privilege of being taught by some of the best instructors whose dedication and expertise truly made a lasting impact on my academic journey. Beyond the classroom, UDST offered me invaluable opportunities to grow and represent the university on global platforms and competitions, especially as part of the debate club, which allowed me to travel, engage with diverse perspectives, and develop lifelong skills.

One of my most memorable experiences was competing in the Business Case Competition. It was an exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding time that not only honed my critical thinking but also created lasting friendships and memories.

UDST is more than just a university—it's the place that shaped me into the person I am today. It gave me the confidence, knowledge, and readiness to take on the next chapter of my life, both professionally and personally. I'm proud to be an alumnus and will always carry the values and experiences I gained at UDST with me. 

I chose UDST because of its welcoming environment, supportive community, and the many opportunities it provides for both personal and academic growth. One of the major turning points in my journey was securing student employment, which sparked my passion for self-learning and fueled my drive to continuously develop skills and knowledge.

UDST gave me the chance to explore new interests, take part in activities, and gain experiences that truly shaped who I am today. My best academic memory was winning awards during Skills Day, celebrating those moments with friends. Outside the classroom, it’s the simple memories, like sharing lunch breaks and discussions, that I treasure most.

To new students, my advice is to make the most of your time here: explore every skill, join every activity, and embrace every opportunity. You’ll never again have this much freedom combined with such a supportive environment, so take full advantage of it.

Studying at University of Doha for Science and Technology was the turning point in my academic and professional journey. My program not only gave me a strong technical foundation but also taught me how to think critically, solve problems creatively, and adapt to a rapidly changing digital world.

The supportive faculty, hands-on learning environment, and exposure to real-world applications helped me build the confidence and skills I needed to take the next steps in my career. Today, as the Vice President of Corporate Communications of Milaha, I look back at my time at UDST with gratitude, it was here that I discovered my potential, shaped my ambitions, and laid the groundwork for future success.

I had lost hope of being admitted to UDST and sadly had everything planned to start studying back home - tickets booked, bags packed, mentally prepared. Then, just a week before I was supposed to leave, I received a message from the University stating that I had been accepted and was invited to take a placement test. That message changed the course of my life.

What followed was a journey for which I’ll always be thankful. I started as a quiet, introverted student, unsure of myself and not very confident. But over time, things began to shift. UDST provided me with the environment to grow academically, socially, and personally. Along the way, I started taking better care of my health and ended up losing 20kg, something that just naturally became part of my progress.

By the time I graduated, I felt like a different person. More confident, more capable, and more ready for whatever comes next. UDST gave me the space and support to grow, not just as a student, but as a person. Looking back, I’m genuinely grateful for how things turned out.
