UDST Celebrates Its Diversity at Festival of Cultures

Organized by Student Engagement, a division of Student Affairs, the festival saw the presence of the Chairman and Board Members of UDST, Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, President of UDST and distinguished guests, including ambassadors of Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Turkey, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Yemen and representatives from the Embassy of Ukraine and Malaysia. UDST’s students, faculty, staff, and their families. The event attracted close to 15,000 visitors who joined to celebrate the multicultural mosaic of the UDST community. Over 500 student participants from 24 countries showcased their cultures, including Qatar, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and Yemen. Students decorated their booths representing their country’s unique values and traditions, wearing their national dress as well as providing cuisines from their homelands.

UDST Commemorates Qatar National Day with Cultural and Educational Festivities

UDST celebrated Qatar National Day with a vibrant event bringing together students, faculty, staff, and their families to honor the nation’s heritage and values. Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, UDST President, highlighted the occasion’s significance in celebrating unity, resilience, and progress. The event featured cultural booths, a photo gallery showcasing Qatar’s achievements, a poem recital by Abdallah Ahmed, a traditional Qatari attire fashion show, and an interactive contest. The screening of “Ode to Our Land” provided a cinematic tribute to Qatar’s journey. Traditional Qatari cuisine fostered a sense of community, and the event underscored UDST’s commitment to shaping the future in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, promoting unity and responsibility.
