Read CEFR B1 level texts written in a variety of formats about less familiar topics up to 500 words, and complete activities to identify the main idea, changes of topic, details, facts, logic, purpose, and cues to meaning. 

Listen to simulated, authentic monologues or dialogues at the CEFR B1 level, up to four (4) minutes long, about a less familiar topic spoken at 140-160 words per minute, and complete activities to identify the main idea, changes of topic, details, facts, opinions, purpose and cues to meaning.

Speak at a CEFR B1 level on factual or less familiar topics when giving a four (4) minute presentation, answer up to two (2) follow-up questions, have an oral exchange of three (3) to five (5) minutes with at least eight to ten (8-10) turns each by doing interactional activities at the appropriate level, using clear pronunciation and accurate word stress.

Write a cause/effect paragraph and email at a CEFR B1 level up to 150 words about a professional or academic topic using complex sentences.

Demonstrate control of vocabulary at a CEFR B1 level by identifying and using accurate form, meaning and use.

Demonstrate control of grammar at a CEFR B1 level to support the communicative purpose.

Read CEFR Mid B1 level texts written in a variety of formats about familiar and less familiar topics up to 400 words, and complete activities to identify the main idea, changes of topic, details, logic, purpose, and cues to meaning.

Listen to simulated, authentic monologues or dialogues at the CEFR Mid B1 level, up to three (3) and a half minutes long, about a less familiar topic spoken at 130-150 words per minute, and complete activities to identify the main idea, changes of topic, details, facts, opinions, purpose and cues to meaning.

Speak at a CEFR Mid B1 level on factual or less familiar topics when giving a three (3) minute presentation, answer up to two (2) follow-up questions, and have an oral exchange of three (3) to five (5) minutes with at least seven to nine (7-9) turns each by doing interactional activities at the appropriate level, using clear pronunciation and accurate word stress.

Write a paragraph and email at a CEFR Mid B1 level up to 175 words, to a prompt or question about a professional topic, and produce complex sentences.
