Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Having CPD activities within the College of Health Sciences (CHS) is highly beneficial, as they allow healthcare professionals to earn the required CPD credits for licensure and professional development while continuously enhancing our knowledge and skills.

The BLS CPD course at UDST was exceptionally well organized, with excellent preparation, relevant online materials, and outstanding instructors. The hands-on sessions and simulated cardiac arrest scenarios provided valuable opportunities to practice teamwork and develop essential resuscitation skills in a realistic environment.

From a professional perspective, the course helped reinforce critical clinical skills while also contributing Category 1 and Category 3 CPD credits toward my DHP licensure requirements. It was a valuable, high-quality learning experience.

Collaborating with the University of Doha for Science and Technology's College of Health Sciences to deliver continuing professional development activities has been a highly rewarding experience, reflecting the value of strong academic–clinical partnerships in advancing midwifery practice. As part of the first General Midwifery Orientation (GMO) Program at PHCC, we delivered simulation-based learning that enabled participants to apply their knowledge through structured antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal scenarios, including emergency management and role-play.

Facilitating this CPD activity reinforced the importance of experiential learning in strengthening clinical competence, critical thinking, and patient safety. From a professional perspective, CPD is essential for maintaining high standards of evidence-based, woman-centered care.

The collaboration with the College of Health Sciences has made a meaningful contribution to developing a competent and confident midwifery workforce. The professionalism and academic excellence of UDST have strengthened this partnership and supported the continued development of healthcare professionals.

Collaborating with the University of Doha for Science and Technology's College of Health Sciences on continuing professional development activities has been a highly valuable and impactful experience. Through our long-term cancer-focused continuing professional development webinar series, we have addressed key topics in cancer risk reduction, prevention, early diagnosis, patient-centered care, and innovation in cancer control.

The speakers from the College of Health Sciences have consistently added significant value through their expertise, academic insight, and practical perspectives on cancer-related topics. This collaboration has created a meaningful platform for healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge and engage with emerging priorities in cancer care and control.

The professionalism and academic excellence of the College of Health Sciences have contributed meaningfully to healthcare workforce development and the advancement of cancer outcomes.
