New Students
PHOTO SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 16 August 2026
If you are unable to upload your photo for any reason, please visit Building 1 from 16–20 August 2026, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, to have your photo taken in person and complete the student ID card process.
Students who would like to collect their student ID card in advance may also visit Building 1 during the same period (16–20 August 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM) to complete the required process and receive their card.
Adherence to UDST dress code is required for all photos. Shoulders must be covered to the elbows and no provocative, low cut t-shirts or inappropriate messages are allowed.
Photo Submission Deadline: 28th August 2024
- Head Position: Keep your head straight and facing directly towards the camera
- Face Visibility: Hair, glasses frames, or any other obstructions must not block your eyes. Leave space around the face area. Niqabs are not permitted in the photo
- Head Coverings: Head coverings other than those required for religious reasons are not permitted. They must be worn to show the face from the chin to the forehead. Hijabs and Ghutra are permitted.
- Eliminate shadows on face: Make sure that the lighting is properly positioned so that shadows do not fall on your face
- Recent Photo: You must include a photo of yourself that reflects your current appearance.
- Color Photo Required: Photos in black and white or grayscale are not accepted
- Photo Size: Photo should be at least 4.5 cm in height x 3.5 cm in width. Face should cover at least 25% of the photo.
Using Your ID Card
There are many ways your ID Card can be used - from local transportation, to gaining access to campus facilities and checking out books from the library. The following services and resources can be accessed via your ID Card:
