Through the Maritime Training and Simulation Centre, UDST strives to be a leading industry-driven provider of Maritime Education and Training (MET) at the post-secondary level, focusing on skilling, reskilling, and upskilling the local and regional technical workforce.
The UDST Maritime Training and Simulation Centre offers a wide range of technical training programs required by the STCW international convention and code (STCW 2010, as amended).
Our Vision
To be the premier hub for maritime training and simulation in Qatar and to support UDST development into a leading global Applied University
The vision is derived from the main objectives of the human development pillar in Qatar's National Vision 2030, which aims to regulate and improve the level of expertise and semi-skilled workers throughout the country. In the Human Development Pillar of QNV2030, we are encouraged to empower the people of Qatar to ensure the growth of the country. To do so, improvements need to be made in the fields of education, health care, and the labor force in general. Accordingly, the vision of this project is to "Regulate and develop the skilled and semi-skilled workforce in the state of Qatar."
Our Mission
Provide advanced professional training, including IMO/tailored training activities and provide Lab Simulators infrastructure to support UDST Marine Engineering educational activities
