Post-Graduate Diploma in Interprofessional Neonatal Intensive Care (PG Dip. INIC)
The PGD INIC is designed for a range of health care professionals who work with critically ill preterm and term infants and in neonatal intensive care units including nurses, physicians, and respiratory therapists. The PGD INIC is founded on international standards and benchmarks from Australia, North America, and the United Kingdom. The program is designed as a set of four (4) micro-credentials and a total of seven (7) courses. Students who complete all four (4) micro-credentials meet the requirements for a Post Graduate Diploma. An integration of theory with extensive application in laboratory, simulation, and practice experiences in areas such as high intensity care, advanced therapeutics and pharmacological interventions, risk management, quality assurance, and emergency care prepare graduates with enhanced competence to care for term and preterm babies and babies experiencing diverse and unstable and critical altered states of health.
