Admissions Requirements
This page sets out the minimum academic requirements for admission to undergraduate (Bachelor's and Diploma) and graduate (Master's) programs at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST).
Bachelor's and Diploma Programs
General requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants must have:
1
Overall high school average
60%
Minimum overall average in your final high school year (Grade 12).
2
Required Grade 12 subjects
60%
Minimum grade in each Grade 12 subject required for your selected program. See requirements by college.
3
Placement test scores
To start your degree program directly, you need:
Scored lower? You may still be admitted through the Foundation program, which prepares you before you begin your degree.
Have IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, or ACT scores? These may be accepted instead of the UDST placement tests. See approved international test alternatives below.
Not graded in percentages?
If your school uses letter grades (such as A Levels), points (such as the IB), or another grading scale, UDST will convert your grades to percentages using its approved method. The 60% minimums are then applied to the converted grades.
Your converted grades are confirmed during the admission review. To ask how your qualification will be assessed, contact Admissions at [email protected] or call 4495 2225.
Admission is competitive
Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission. Eligible applicants are assessed against the University's approved admission criteria, including final-year high school results, placement test results or approved international test scores (where applicable), program capacity, and applicable admission priorities.
Program-specific requirements
Individual programs may set additional requirements, including specific subjects, placement test scores, interviews, licensing, professional experience, or health requirements. Applicants are responsible for reviewing the requirements of their selected program before submitting an application.
