Bridging Maritime Operations and Maritime Arbitration through Simulation
Yesterday, October 12, we had the pleasure of hosting the workshop “Practical Applications of Maritime Arbitration and Dispute Resolution” at the Maritime Training and Simulation Centre (MTSC) of the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST).
It was a great opportunity to collaborate with Capt. Dr. Abdulamir Al-Faraj, President of the Kuwaiti Maritime Association, combining his expertise in maritime arbitration and dispute resolution with the practical capabilities of our maritime simulation facilities.
The workshop brought together theoretical insights and hands-on training through our Full Mission Bridge Simulator, where participants explored realistic maritime incident scenarios, analyzed navigational decisions and operational errors, and discussed their potential implications in maritime disputes.
This experience once again highlighted the value of maritime simulation as a powerful tool not only for education and professional training, but also for accident investigation, operational analysis, and maritime dispute resolution.
My sincere thanks to Capt. Dr. Al-Faraj for his valuable contribution to all participants for their engagement, and to everyone who supported the successful delivery of this initiative.
At MTSC, we remain committed to promoting innovation, knowledge exchange, and stronger connections between maritime education, industry, and professional practice.
