One to One Mental Health Counselling
Confidential, Personalized Support for Your Well-Being
Student Counselling Services provides free, confidential one-to-one counselling with Student
Counselling Specialists. This service is for all UDST students free of charge. Counselling helps students to;
- Navigate emotions
- Manage stress
- Work through personal challenges
Each session lasts up to 50 minutes and provides a safe, supportive space tailored to individual student needs.
Our Student Counselling Specialists are trained in various therapeutic approaches, ensuring inclusive and effective support for all students.

What to Expect
● The first session will focus on understanding your concerns and exploring what you hope to gain from counselling.
● After the first session, follow-up appointments for short-term counselling may be necessary.
● Student Counselling Specialists will work with students to set personalized goals to enhance their well-being
● Every Student Counselling Specialist has a unique approach, ensuring a tailored experience for each student.

Confidentiality & Privacy
Your privacy is our priority. Information shared during your session is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone inside or outside the university without your consent.
If a serious risk of harm to yourself or others is disclosed, confidentiality can be broken to ensure duty of care. Your Student Counselling Specialist will discuss the conditions of confidentiality with you during your first session. If you have further questions, please discuss them with your Student Counselling Specialist.

To get the most out of the session, it’s important to attend and arrive on time to fully benefit from the one-to-one counselling experience.
