A partnership with Al-Ahli Hospital to Enhance Healthcare Learning and Research in Qatar

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Ahli Hospital in Qatar to foster collaboration in clinical, educational, community outreach, and research areas. The agreement, signed by Dr. Salem AlNaemi, UDST President, and Dr. Khaled Al-Emadi, CEO of AlAhli Hospital, aims to advance Qatar’s healthcare education, research, and services. The partnership will design academic pathways, including professional certificates and postgraduate programs for the healthcare sector, and provide UDST students with practical opportunities at Al-Ahli Hospital. Joint research, publications, and faculty exchange for teaching and project supervision are also part of the collaboration. Additionally, both institutions will organize health awareness campaigns, seminars, and workshops as part of their community outreach efforts.

UDST forms a Strategic Alliance with Idaho State University

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has signed a five-year strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Idaho State University (ISU) to foster collaboration in engineering, energy research, and disaster response. The agreement, signed virtually by Dr. Rachid Benlamri (UDST) and Dr. Martin E. Blair (ISU), aims to facilitate student and faculty exchange, joint research initiatives, and the development of collaborative programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering. UDST students will have the opportunity to participate in short summer training programs at ISU’s Disaster Response Complex (DRC) and Center for Advanced Energy Studies (AES). This partnership strengthens UDST’s global efforts to build meaningful academic relationships with leading institutions.

UDST Sponsors the International ESG Conference

The first international conference on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards was held in Doha, with UDST proudly serving as a Gold Sponsor and hosting the second day of the conference. The conference, supported by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), aimed to deepen the understanding of ESG implementation across sectors, enhance reporting and global integration, and highlight innovative sustainability practices. Qatar has been steadily advancing toward adopting ESG standards, with plans to make them mandatory for large public companies. UDST was honored to support the event, with discussions focusing on ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, and sustainable finance. The University’s leadership emphasized that ESG aligns with UDST’s mission to innovation in sustainability, uniting academic, industry, and governmental efforts. Workshops covered effective ESG strategies, ratings, and the role of green bonds in sustainable investment, reflecting UDST’s commitment to shaping a generation equipped to lead in sustainability-focused fields.
