The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) partnered with Lusail International Circuit (LIC) to enhance student opportunities and operational capabilities at Qatar’s premier motorsport venue. The collaboration supports Qatar National Vision 2030 by fostering education, innovation, and youth employment in sports and events management, especially for major events like Formula 1, MotoGP, and the World Endurance Championship. 
Key initiatives under this partnership include structured internships across LIC departments, annual Open Days for student engagement, quarterly seminars and workshops led by industry professionals, and a long-term talent pipeline for post-graduation employment. 
The initiative bridges academic learning with real-world experience, equipping students with advanced technical and professional skills, while contributing to economic, social, and environmental development goals outlined in Qatar Vision 2030. 

Signing Strategic MoU with Innopolis University to Strengthen Academic Collaboration in the field of AI

During His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s visit to Russia, UDST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Innopolis University, establishing a strategic academic partnership focused on innovation and technological advancement. The agreement outlines collaborative efforts in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, and AI applications in key sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, and energy. The partnership includes the creation of a startup support platform providing laboratories, mentoring, and investment opportunities, as well as joint educational programs and international events promoting research and innovation. 
Both universities will exchange students, faculty, and researchers, share best practices, and work together on cutting-edge projects that advance science and technology while strengthening international academic ties. This collaboration underscores UDST’s commitment to applied learning, global partnerships, and innovation-driven education, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. 

Highlighting Applied Learning in Visit from Austrian Ambassador and IMC Krems

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) had the honor of hosting Her Excellency Erika Bernhard, the Austrian Ambassador to Qatar, accompanied by a distinguished delegation from IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences. The visit underscored the growing bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Austria in the fields of education, research, and innovation, further solidifying both nations shared vision for advancing applied learning and academic excellence. 
During their visit, the delegation toured several of UDST’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the Mobility Lab, Operations and Maintenance Training Pilot Plant, Nursing and Radiography Labs, and the AI and Cybersecurity Labs. Each facility showcased UDST’s hands-on, industry-aligned approach to education that integrates theory with practical application, preparing students to thrive in dynamic global industries. 
Discussions during the visit focused on academic collaboration, student mobility programs, and joint research initiatives, paving the way for future partnerships between UDST and IMC Krems. Both institutions expressed mutual interest in fostering knowledge exchange and innovation-driven learning to support Qatar’s and Austria’s sustainable development goals.

Dr. Martina Hirayama, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation of Switzerland, recently led a high-level Swiss delegation on an official visit to UDST. During the visit, Dr. Hirayama met with UDST President Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, where they discussed opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and innovation. The delegation toured UDST’s state-of-the-art facilities, gaining insight into the university’s cutting-edge academic programs spanning its diverse colleges. The visit highlighted UDST’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing knowledge through innovative education. UDST partners with Naseem Health Care

Signing MoU with Qatar Cancer Society to Promote Academic Partnership

UDST and Center for Progressive Reforms in Uzbekistan Sign MoU to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has signed an MoU with the Center of Progressive Reforms (Uzbekistan) to enhance academic cooperation, skills development, and professional training. Facilitated by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Doha, the partnership will establish and accredit a Vocational Skills Center in Uzbekistan, offering training for engineers, industrial workers, and nurses.

UDST, NTUA sign MoU to advance engineering and technology education

The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and training within engineering and technology. Key areas of cooperation include joint research, academic exchanges, and the creation of technical and professional training programs that promote innovation and lifelong learning. 
During the signing ceremony in Athens, UDST President Dr. Salem Al-Naemi emphasized that the agreement aligns with UDST’s international collaboration strategy to advance science and technology education. NTUA Rector Professor Ioannis K. Chatjigeorgiou highlighted that the partnership will equip future generations with the technical skills and expertise to drive innovation and economic growth. 

UDST signs MoU with 4 leading aeronautical entities

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four major aeronautics leaders — Airbus, École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC), Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE-SUPAERO), and Qatar Airways. The collaboration aims to strengthen aeronautics education, research, and industry-academia integration in Qatar. 
The partnership will support the creation of joint undergraduate and postgraduate programs, specialized aeronautics courses, student and faculty exchanges, research projects, and internship opportunities, alongside joint events and conferences. 
UDST President Dr. Salem Al-Naemi emphasized that the agreement reflects UDST’s commitment to applied, world-class education that fosters innovation, industry relevance, and economic diversification, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The partnership will support joint initiatives such as financial backing for university programs, student workshops, internships, and faculty industrial visits. It also includes collaboration on applied research, particularly in recycling and waste management, and the development of real-world capstone project topics.

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) signed an Academic Collaboration Contract with three UK-based technology companies — Metaverse Learning Limited, MX Reality Limited, and vGather Limited (Metaverse Hub) — to advance immersive education, applied research, and innovation in Qatar. 
The partnership will focus on Joint applied research projects, integration of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) into academic programs, faculty training and student internships and contribution to UDST’s research proposals and industry initiatives.

The agreement, signed by Dr. Salem AlNaemi, UDST President, and Dr. Khaled Al-Emadi, CEO of AlAhli Hospital, aims to advance Qatar’s healthcare education, research, and services. University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has signed a five-year strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Idaho State University (ISU) to foster collaboration in engineering, energy research, and disaster response. The agreement, signed virtually by Dr. Rachid Benlamri (UDST) and Dr. Martin E. Blair (ISU), aims to facilitate student and faculty exchange, joint research initiatives, and the development of collaborative programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering. UDST students will have the opportunity to participate in short summer training programs at ISU’s Disaster Response Complex (DRC) and Center for Advanced Energy Studies (AES). The first international conference on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards was held in Doha, with UDST proudly serving as a Gold Sponsor and hosting the second day of the conference. The conference, supported by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), aimed to deepen the understanding of ESG implementation across sectors, enhance reporting and global integration, and highlight innovative sustainability practices. Qatar has been steadily advancing toward adopting ESG standards, with plans to make them mandatory for large public companies. UDST was honored to support the event, with discussions focusing on ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, and sustainable finance. The University’s leadership emphasized that ESG aligns with UDST’s mission to innovation in sustainability, uniting academic, industry, and governmental efforts. Workshops covered effective ESG strategies, ratings, and the role of green bonds in sustainable investment, reflecting UDST’s commitment to shaping a generation equipped to lead in sustainability-focused fields.
