"At the beginning of my admission to University of Doha, I was having difficulty communicating with other students and teachers because I was unable to speak fluently in English, but in my foundation course the teachers helped me a lot to develop my language and communicate with other students through class activities and put us in groups to solve assignments and discuss with other students and made projects together and do presentations. All this helped me in my major courses and increased my ability to communicate with others."

"At the outset, I would like to thank all the instructors who devoted their time to teaching students and explain to them the simplest and easiest ways to absorb information in a short period of time. I had a great time in the foundation Program as the course was informative and detailed but at the same time, the instructors were kind and always ready to help the students through doing activities inside or outside the classroom which helps students to memorize, understand and get the information easily. Therefore, I recommend that all students begin taking a foundation course of at least one year prior to enrolling in their program, as this will help them navigate their experiences and expand their awareness and knowledge when starting their program."

I love the learning opportunities that I have shared with students and colleagues over the years. From Falcons as part of oral presentations, to travelling to Bangladesh with students on an educational mission with Reach out to Asia, to being honored on International Teacher's Day as a 15-year employee -- rarely a dull moment. Lots of memories, shared moments and lasting friendships are at the core of so many of my teaching and learning opportunities. This is why I am still here!"

The College of General Education at UDST is a place where students can broaden their knowledge, not only within their field of study but also beyond it. I believe that any time spent here is time well-invested—whether you're deepening your understanding of your major or exploring new subjects. It’s an environment that encourages growth, both academically and personally. RSST 3002 was an eye-opening course that highlighted the significance of probability and statistics in both daily life and engineering. Throughout the course, we saw firsthand how numbers and data-driven decisions are the basis of all engineering around the world. It wasn't just about formulas—it was about understanding how statistics shape the world around us and how they play a crucial role in our future decisions.

I am very pleased with the quality of education the College of General Education at UDST has to offer. The course curriculum offered by the College is well organized and challenging enough to maintain students' motivation and build strong problem-solving skills. As a student who has taken courses such as RSST Probability and Statistic Analysis through the CGE, I have experienced firsthand how knowledgeable and skilled the faculty are in their fields. They consistently support students with practical applications, making the learning experience both relevant and engaging. Overall, my academic journey with the College of General Education has been transformative and valuable. The opportunities and learning environment have strongly supported the development of the skills I require in my future career.”

"I am graduating this semester, so I think I’m safe to give my opinion about the college of engineering. It was absolutely one of the best memories, remembering how the instructors try their best to provide an easy and fun way to understand the course, and how they are doing their best to help the students who are in need of extra academic assistance. The one problem that I faced, is having a lot of assignments, quizzes and lab submissions in a single week, but I have realized that at the end all that hard work will force me to study and understand what mechanical engineering is all about"

The program also have a good balance of theory and practice, with substantial amount of hands on experience, in addition, the facilities are great and up to date."

After obtaining the Diploma qualification, 3 years ago, I decided to join UDST to pursue Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. My decision was based on professional environment and approachable instructors at UDST.
