National and International Affairs
The National and International Affairs Directorate acts as the focal point of UDST for external stakeholders. It promotes the University and develops, manages, and facilitates relationships with national and international entities, organizations, and the wider community.
Our responsibility is to maintain and strengthen strategic partnerships with partners locally and globally by leveraging UDST’s strengths in Engineering and Technology, Business, Computing and Information Technology, and Health Sciences.

To support the University in becoming the preferred industry partner at the national and international levels and to serve as an essential agent in the continued success of UDST.
Our Mission
National Partnerships
- Develop and oversee the University’s partnerships, event sponsorships, donations, and fundraising policies, procedures, and reporting systems, and ensure effective implementation.
- Coordinate with internal business units to gain a strong understanding of UDST’s needs and strategic objectives for partnerships.
- Identify partnership opportunities with government entities, national organizations, and businesses to promote mutually beneficial collaboration.
- Manage and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive database of all national partners and prospective partners to support and expand UDST’s community and industry engagement initiatives.
International Partnerships
- Facilitate international cooperation, including cultural exchange programs, study abroad opportunities, and language immersion experiences.
- Bring together diverse cultures and perspectives, enriching the academic environment and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
- Provide access to a wider range of global resources, expertise, and research opportunities, enhancing the quality of education and research outcomes.
- Attract top international talent, including students, faculty, and researchers, to foster innovation and academic excellence.
- Enable UDST to collaboratively address global challenges such as climate change, public health issues, and technological advancement through international partnerships.

Borealis Stakeholder Engagement Platform
Borealis is UDST’s stakeholder engagement platform used to manage and organize relationships with external stakeholders. It centralizes all stakeholder information in one secure system, enabling authorized users to easily access data, track interactions, manage communications, and monitor engagement activities. The platform supports effective relationship management and helps measure engagement outcomes accurately and efficiently.
Helpdesk for National and International Affairs
The Helpdesk for National and International Affairs is a centralized system designed to support the request and management of new collaborations. It enables university units to submit, track, and manage all requests related to national and international cooperation through one structured platform, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and proper coordination of partnerships.
