Development of Nano composite hydrogels
Research Projects Brief
The research focuses on the development of graphene-based hydrogel adsorbents in treating wastewater for the extraction of organic and inorganic pollutants, and investigate ways to increase the efficiency of removal of both the pollutants concurrently using the adsorbent gels. Enhancement of the efficiency of the pre-treatment process of wastewater streams increase the effectiveness and sustainable performance of membrane systems. Successively, this will minimize the consequences of liquid waste discharges from oil and gas industries.
