Program Description

The Master of Science in Telecommunications and Network Engineering (M.Sc. TNE) is a two-year master's program which equips graduates with advanced skills in communication systems, digital signal processing, network security, and emerging industrial technologies. It blends theoretical knowledge, practical applications, and independent research. The curriculum covers foundational topics like research methodologies, machine learning, and wireless communications, progressing to specialized areas such as cloud data centers, industrial digitalization, and telecommunications policy. The program culminates in a two-stage M.Sc. thesis, allowing students to address real-world challenges through innovative research. Graduates are prepared for careers in academia, industry, or entrepreneurship, with expertise in problem-solving, network design, and regulatory compliance.
 

Program Duration:

Two years

Admission Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree in Telecommunications and Network Engineering; OR
 
2. Bachelor degree in a closely related field of engineering from an accredited higher education institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
 
1. The required score on the University English Placement Test or a passing score from another approved internationally recognized English language test, as validated by the Admissions & Registration Directorate; OR
 
2. A valid (within two years) IELTS Academic Test Report Form with an overall band of 6.0 with no individual band score (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) below 6.0; OR
 
3. A valid (within two years) TOEFL iBT score of 72 and minimum scores of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 17 in writing.
1. Academic transcripts related to the undergraduate degree and/or post graduate diploma presented upon application; and
 
2. Applicants from similar fields may be considered for entry, and these applicants may be required to successfully complete one or more Bachelor courses to prepare them for success in this Master’s Program.
