Sport and Wellness operates two 25m male and female swimming pools located in Building 18 and 17 respectively. UDST students, staff and immediate families of staff have the capability to book the swimming pools free of charge during S&W operation hours. Our male and female aquatics centers also play host to our competitive varsity swimming teams who have won numerous awards and accolades in inter-university competitions.

Our pool operation hours differ from semester to semester but typically open for bookings from:

Sunday-Thursday 6:30am-8:00pm.

Saturdays 2:00pm-6:00pm.

Learn to Swim Programs Targeting Children, UDST Students and Staff

Our credentialed aquatic specialists offer engaging adult learn to swim program targeted at students, faculty and staff of the University for both genders. This initiative retains a personal touch tailoring each class to suit the students learning requirements and pace while teaching the fundamental swimming and water safety skills and aligning with the six progressive levels of our Internationally accredited program (Starfish).

Whether you are having lessons for the first time and would like to be safer around the many aquatic activities, looking to improve your strokes, learn new strokes or improve endurance levels Sport and Wellness have the classes for you!

UDST Diving Club

Male aquatic office offers a variety of Diving courses including Pedi skin diving, discover Scuba diving, open water, advanced Open Water, EFR, Rescue Diver and Dive master classes. All students and staff regardless of prior experience are welcome to participate in such classes.

Learn to Swim Assistant Instructor Program and Employment Opportunities

As a response to our UDST Family Programing, and additional student employment opportunity, we develop an inhouse Aquatic Assistant Instructor Program that equips you with the knowledge to transfer swimming knowledge to children in a positive and fun manner.
